The Telegraph: Business rates reform common theme in Autumn Statement wishlists


The Centre for Entrepreneurs wants the Chancellor to provide incentives for big firms to unlock their balance sheets and draw on the £488bn sitting in them to invest in small and medium-sized business through corporate venturing. According to an open letter from the organisation, “there is an opportunity to double corporate venturing in the UK in the same way that the Government’s EIS scheme has doubled business angel investors since 2011”.
