Welcome to the NEF Winter Newsletter.
2018 has been an incredible year for NEF – our first full year since our merger with the Centre for Entrepreneurs, a growing team that has gone from strength to strength, the graduation of the seventh cohort of NEFers, starting the eighth NEF cohort, high-profile and impactful CFE report launches, an incredible demo day event and, most recently, the inaugural CFE annual lecture, delivered by Eric Schmidt of which, more details follow below.
As our team and mission have grown, so has our governance matured – I’m delighted to announce the appointment of our new advisory board, who will provide expert insight, guidance and ambassadorship as our organisation grows and develops.

Most recently, NEF won the ‘Startup Community Catalyst of the Year’ at the recent Startups awards, in the face of some fierce, and highly-respected competitors. I’m proud of our team’s achievement – which is a testament to the ongoing positive impact that NEF is making to the UK startup environment.
