Alexander Somervell (Class of 2016) launched One Third Stories 2015 in with the belief that every child should grow up with the chance to be bilingual. Described in Alex’s own words:

” One Third Stories is revolutionising the way languages are taught through storybooks. Our stories start out completely in English but through the gradual introduction of words in Spanish in clear contexts the concluding page of each chapter is in Español. This dispels the mito that some people are better than others at languages, everyone learns their first lengua perfectamente, and they do it through the same contextual learning, why aren’t we teaching second lengua using this metodología? “

Now his venture has been shortlisted in The Guardian’s Startup of the year showcase 2015-2016.
