After the success of our inaugural Investor Demo Day in the Spring, we were pumped to be able to host the event again at Rathbones in November and it did not disappoint! Featuring 10 businesses, all graduates of our NEF+ programme, pitching for pre-seed or seed funding rounds, the pitching standard was exceptional.
This was the perfect opportunity for our talented founders to get into conversation with established angel and early stage investors, prompting follow-up conversations helping them to raise investment, broaden their network and get advice on their startup.
Amongst those pitching:
Safiyo – founded by Stephan Eyeson (2014) & Chukwudi Anyiam-Osigwe
Consumer intelligence platform for emerging markets
Bakkali – founded by Issam Abu-Aisheh (A2022) & Ishan Wijewardana (2020 & A2022)
Cultural groceries delivered to your doorstep
Yareta – founded by Manish Karani (2016)
Identify talent which transcends culture, gender, ethnicity and economic boundaries
Mouthy – founded by Alexandra Swanepoel (A2023)
Providing preventative dental treatments on demand
Volunteero – founded by Ash Staines (2020)
A platform helping voluntary organisations recruit and manage volunteers
Nyfasi – founded by Youmna Mouhamad (A2023)
Nyfasi’s patented applicator comb eliminates pain and saves users up to 30 minutes per application by lubricating tangles and knots during detangling
Silver – founded by Alex Somervell (2016)
Helping the elderly access their money and be safe from fraud
Waggle – founded by Sarah Touzani (S2023)
AI copilot for people who manage people
Floe Oral Care – founded by Will Welton (2017)
We’re transforming oral care using salivary diagnostics and artificial intelligence to reduce the social and economic cost of oral diseases
As a result of the success of both Investor Demo Days this year, we are making these firm fixtures in our events calendar and will continue to host these on a bi-annual basis, with the next one set to be in early Spring 2024
